Labor Day Weekend

It has been a good Labor Day Weekend thus far.  Last night we had friends over to BBQ and watch college football.  It was a good time had by all.  Massimo got to have an encounter with the creature that haunts his dreams… a baby.  Mo is scared of infant children.  He cannot figure them out.  It is funny to watch him around babies, he is so timid.

All the friends enjoyed hanging out with the kitty.  We brought an extra chair into the living room because Mo has to be in the center of all the action.  When he was not being scared by the baby, he was interacting with the crowd like a true showman.

This afternoon, I did a little shopping for Massimo’s birthday.  He turns two on September 9th.  I browsed the web for pet supplies and found some items for the little man’s special day.  I will post birthday pics for your enjoyment later on.

Does anyone else by presents for their pet?  Enjoy Labor Day tomorrow.

Back in the Game

I am back and writing.  The past month has been crazy, but I am committed to making this blog a priority.  With that said, here we go.

I want this blog to be a fun read.  I want to mix it up with pet care issues and good stories about pets.  Feel free to leave a short pet story in your comment.

Massimo, the king beast.  Let me tell you about the day in the life of Massimo.  At about 5:00am he decides that it is time to snuggle with my wife.  He lays next to her with his face pressed against her’s.  At about 7:00am he wants to play.  He runs around like a crazy man and brings you his toys and he loves to play fetch.

When we are at work, he sleeps.  He sleeps and he plays.  He sleeps and he plays and he eats.  You know the drill.  When we come home, he is at the door waiting.  The Mo Beast will follow you around and meow until you pick him up or sit down so that he can crawl on top of you and get some affection.  He loves his family.

He then sits on the couch with mom and dad and relaxes for a few hours.  Mom goes to bed and then the little kitty man sits around with dad and brings over the occasional toy.  We play fetch until he is worn out and then he goes back to relaxing.  When I go to bed, he follows me upstairs.  He likes to sleep under the bed.

That pretty much sums up a day in the life of Mo.  He is a fun little friend.  I will say that I highly endorse the Ragdoll.

What is your pet like?

And so it begins…

I have started this blog to discuss pets and pet care issues. We will dive into topics such as pet training, pet obesity, funny characteristics of certain types of pets, etc. I will also attempt to breakdown every dog and cat breed. We will see how that goes.

Feel free to leave comments and engage in discussion. I want this blog to relevant to the pet owners of today. I will start off by telling you about one of my pets, Massimo.

Massimo is a Ragdoll cat. He is pictured below. He is almost two years old. My wife and I bought him because her cat of 17 years had just passed away. I was not a big cat person, so I told my wife that I wanted the biggest cat we could find. She got on the Internet and did the research and we decided on a Ragdoll. Here I am today… the world’s foremost lover of the Ragdoll breed.

Massimo Cat... It is his world, I am just living in it.

More to come about Massimo later, I am certain that you will get to know him very well. I am excited about where this blog will take us and hope that it becomes a refreshing read for pet owners worldwide.
