What is your favorite Dog Breed?

I am a big fan of the Golden Retriever. Without question, it is the top dog breed. Goldens have a great personality and they are absolutely beautiful. I found the following picture at PupsForSale.net.

Golden Retrievers

According to DDC Veterinary, Golden Retrievers are heavily muscled, with a dense coat and a heavily feathered tail. These highly-trainable sporting dogs have a confident, eager and alert personality - and need constant attention to be happy. Gentle and loving, the Golden Retriever makes a good family pet.

I want to know your favorite dog breed. Feel free to post links to pictures and videos of your favorite breed when you leave a comment. One vote for the Golden Retriever… let the debate begin.

Toy Poodles are the best dog breed on planet earth. I own four of them. They do not shed and are great for people with allergies.

Border Collies are the best dog breed. They are smart, energetic, and a true best friend! If you are looking for a dog that is great with kids and fun to be around get a Border Collie!

It is all about high intelligence. The German Shepherd is the top dog breed on planet earth.

Of course everyone is partial to the dog breed that they have been around the most. My vote, due to my experiences, goes to the Doberman Pinscher. Any positive adjective that can be used to describe a dog breed can be attributed to the Doberman. My dog, Vince, is incredible intelligent and great with people. Contrary to the negative stereotype against the breed, I have never had a bad experience. In addition, their ability to be trained rivals that of the German Shepherd, of which I am also a big proponent.

No question about it, the English Setter. If you are an outdoor person …. and by outdoor person I mean anyone who likes to hunt, hike, run/walk at the park, bike ride, spend time in the backyard with kids, etc. … then this is the perfect breed. Without question, they are friendly and people-oriented. And, the English Setter is great for families. Not many dog breeds can live up to this standard.

Woohoo!! You’re dang right about the goldens! You can’t go wrong with those guys. We have a 9-month-old golden named Guthrie and he’s awesome! Lots of fun, extremely loveable, very intelligent and athletic, playful when desired but cuddly when you need him to be. He gets along great with our other pup as well as other dogs. Very friendly and good-lookin’! We’d seriously recommend the golden retriever!

I have a RED Golden Retriever, 7 years old. I’ve loved a lot of dogs in my day, but none so much as I love this one. She’s incredibly affectionate, obedient, and SMART. We never really trained her, except of course for housebreaking and the “Stay” command. We got her just to love her. She brings us joy and love every single day and we treat her like a child, as most people who love their pets do. And, of course, she sleeps right in our queen-size bed with us! She is absolutely GORGEOUS. My husband and I are animal lovers, but dogs really steal our hearts!

I love golden retrievers. My 6-month old Maxx (female golden) is very adorable, smart, and playful especially with kids and cats! She loves everybody and everybody loves her. She really loves to play all day long.
I also love maltese, dalmatian, and other breeds, but golden retrievers are the best!
